Discussions are underway and plans are being
formed to transform the Boise school district.
Did you know that ...
According to the district, school
closures have been "put on hold". Supt. Olson’s recent comments indicate that in
actuality, school consolidation is
clearly still on the table!

Survey results show that 66% of citizens advocate keeping small (300- 400
students or less), neighborhood based schools.

Supt. Olson- "We need to move to more of a 400-600 model." |

Jan. 2005 Community Dialogue-
2nd survey proposes to close 4 schools (Washington, Monroe, Hillside, and
Perce Park) , and enlarge or renovate others.
And how does the public respond?
90% say keep Washington open, 75% say
keep Monroe open, 67% say keep Hillside open, and 65% say keep Pierce Park
open.
